Water Safety

IT ONLY TAKES A FEW SECONDS
Summer is upon us and we need to watch our children around water! Please take the time to read what the American Red Cross has to say about Water Safety and Drowning Prevention so we can all protect our loved ones around water.

General Water Safety Tips

- Learn to swim. The best thing anyone can do to stay safe in and around the water is to learn to swim. Always swim with a buddy; never swim alone.

- Swim in areas supervised by a lifeguard.

- Read and obey all rules and posted signs.

FIREFIGHTER (RESERVE) ENTRY LEVEL POSITION:

Reports To:

Reserve Coordinator, shift supervisor and/or management staff.

Qualifications:

18 years of age.
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Valid Arizona Driver's License with a good driving record.
AZ Firefighter I / II.
E.M.T.- B or E.M.T.- I or E.M.T.- P.
40 hour Haz-Mat certification.
Wildland Certification.
Meets criteria outlined by NFPA 1001.
Meets physical standards of NFPA 1500.
Must have a completed and passed CPAT no older than 6 months before job offer.
Work a minimum of 48 hours a month.
